Memphis was a bad pick for sure. At the time, it was a guess based on Gasol’s health and the energy that comes from a new coach. I completely missed New Orleans – CP3 has been so dominant that any team he plays on will have a chance. I don’t think I was alone in deciding the Lakers would miss the playoffs. With all the noise Kobe was making during the off-season, it seemed like LA was bound for trouble. Until Bynum started to show how good he was, Phil Jackson wasn’t even sure he was staying. Talk about a turn around.

The Nuggets should be better simply because they’re going to have a full season together. I think they’ll finish ahead of Utah because the first three months of the Nuggets schedule is pretty damn easy. As far as the Rockets are concerned, I’m willing to be they’ll win more games than Denver, but because of that goofy NBA rule that requires division winners to be a top 4 seed…
